Cheap Jack's Vintage Clothing first opened its doors in 1975. That very tiny store, on First Avenue in Manhattan, sold everything from vintage rugs to clothing and was so successful that a second, larger store on the Avenue soon followed.

After eight or so years honing his knowledge of period and vintage clothing, and with a keen instinct of coming trends, Jack (yes, there really is a Jack) moved the business to Broadway between 13th and 14th Streets, where the store would remain for 25 years.

Cheap Jack's was now housed in 12,000 square feet and every square foot was packed to the rafters with unique and high-end vintage clothing. CJ's became not only a landmark and a destination in itself, but a place to see and be seen by designers, as well as Broadway, television and film stars. The store became known as a wonderful resource for outfitting stage productions, movies, and anyone ahead of the fashion curve.

Today, CJ's is in a new home at 303 Fifth Avenue, at the corner of 31st Street. We're bigger and better than ever, offering our customers the most incredible selection of high-end vintage clothing at very reasonable prices. To enhance our customers' shopping experience, our store is light, bright and airy, with plush couches and lovely fitting rooms. For added convenience, we do alterations while you wait.

Step back in time at Cheap Jack's, where there is always a plush couch, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a smile to greet you.
